What Make-up Remover would you reccomend? For waterproof mascara?!!?

I just got some waterproof mascara (L'oreal volumizing, love it!! lol)... I was just wondering what kind of make-up removal would be recommended! :) I need something inexpensive and easy to find, but works well!! Pleaaase, Opinions WANTED!! THANKS!!! :)What Make-up Remover would you reccomend? For waterproof mascara?!!?
no joke... baby wipes... they work wonders... you have to do a little extra wiping... but think about it, its so much beter than putting chemicals on your face... especially your eyes, stuff like that just makes for early wrinkles. Baby wipes are good enough for babies, so you know they are way gentle. PLUS their cheap, you can use them for make up remover in general. Seriously.. try them. What Make-up Remover would you reccomend? For waterproof mascara?!!?
I am a BeautiControl distributor and we have one that I've used for several years, but this is a matter of opinion and taste. I've heard that some eye make up removers are designed to work best with the eye products they make (BC = BC; L'Oreal = L'Oreal). Get something and try it. I hate wasting money too, but sometimes that's the only way. I think BC's is $9.50?
I use this cheap ';andrea's eye makeup remover'. I get it at walgreens %26amp; it works really well. it's a bunch of round thin pads that are covered w/ the product. There's no stinging %26amp; its not messy compared to liquid eyemake up removers. Clean, easy to do, and cheap.

You should be able to find them, they're usually grouped by the nail clippers, nail files, and eyelash curlers. It's by all the cheap stuff on the makeup wall hahahaha. seriously though try it. I hate using cottonballs %26amp; getting stuff in my eyelashes, plus it's messy.

It's called ';Andre's Eye Q's'; and you can get them for waterproof mascara. I'd suggest trying to use the oil free kind since the oil based one is really gross %26amp; really oily. The oil-free kind doesn't say it's for waterproof but it works.
Maybelline eye make up remover fro sensitive eyes. It'll take it right up, just pour a bit on a wad of tissues, toilet paper, or a cotton ball and wipe off your mascara.
umm i would say any kind that you think will work because u do not want to go wronge with buying the wronge make up remover
i would recommend avon eye make-up remover. its really nice! its silky and gental to the eyes. also cheap! on sale its 1.50 or reg. 3.00!
Marcell has a real good one, stay away from oil based removers. The water based one they have nowadays are really good.
it always helped me when i use lotion and wipe it off with a towel and it comes right off..
Ponds cold cream works the best and is probably the cheapest you will find. It's the only thing that works for me and doesn't make my skin break out. Just use a cotton ball to remove.
I've used Clinique eye makeup romover with a lot of success. I don't know how much it costs because it was one of the freebies you get when you spend so much...
PONDS cold cream %26amp; it is cheap =)
Baby wipes. Better than any makeup remover, and less harsh.

Which is the best waterproof mascara? and best eye make up remover?

I got Mabelline turbo and its not too good- what? they were giving a free eyeliner with it- which was also crap!

I would prefer Loreal or some other better brand.

I'm using Simple cleanser- its good but doesn't remove waterproof mascara- in the morning I have panda eyes and its making me look old- which frankly I don't need with my mother's genes behind me as it is...

I heard vaseline or baby oil on the eyelashes are quite good...Which is the best waterproof mascara? and best eye make up remover?
I know what you mean about the Maybeline mascara and eyeliner, total junk! I love Loreal's Lash Artcitect Waterproof Mascara. It lengthens like no other one I've tried, doesn't smear, and is not clumpy. I have also tried vaseline and baby oil as mascara remover, I don't really like it. Don't get me wrong they both work. The vaseline is gunky and really greasy. The baby oil burns like He!! if you get it in your eyes. I perfer Neutragena's oil free eye make up remover, it is made especially for waterproof mascara, and it's about $8, but a little bit goes a long way. Hope this helps.Which is the best waterproof mascara? and best eye make up remover?
Vaseline is the best thing for removing eye makeup. You don't have to scrub your eyes or anything so it won't be bad for your skin (constant rubbing of delicate areas such as the eyes is a cause for wrinkles) and it will moisturize your skin and make it super soft.
i like any of the water proof mascaras by max factor. i use Johnson's baby wipes to remove all make up, they are really good and very gentle on your skin, not to mention reasonable in price
I don't know about the mascara.

But I use vasaline and it's a lot easier and cheaper than anything.
for make up remover try clinique- take the day off. it takes off everything

WHATS THE BEST EYE MAKE UP REMOVER! MY WATERPROOF MASCARA IS SOOOOO STUBBORN!?

neutrogena oil free eye make up remover is amazinggggWHATS THE BEST EYE MAKE UP REMOVER! MY WATERPROOF MASCARA IS SOOOOO STUBBORN!?
hmmm...all i have to say is if you cant find any eye make up romover that works for you, then just dont wear waterproof:) I dont unless you want to go somewhere were you know for sure your gonna get wet.Besides that, just wear normal mascara and then if your scared it might mess up for some reason take your mascara with you in ur purse or any pockets if you can. Thats what i do and i dont usually have a problem. hope it helped!:)
I tried a very good eye makeup remover by Estee Lauder but it's quite pricey.

I personally use Simple eye makeup remover and it works fine for me but the Estee Lauder one was very good so maybe you should have a chat with a consultant and try it out before you buy it
I went to a couple of websites, so you can use the links below they will take you to the makeup removers :)

Clinique makes a makeup remover called ';Take the day off'; and it is absolutely amazing. It removes the waterproof makeup with one swipe and you can actually get samples of it when you buy something at Clinique.
boots brand eye remover lotion, its great!

i used to use the wipes but it use to leave my eyes feeling dazed from all the scrubbing.

with this lotion you jus dab it on cotton wool and dab it away. and it feels nice too and leaves it soft and smooth whereas the wipes leave it dry
BI-FACIL - Double-Action Eye Makeup Remover by LANCOME.

Hope that helped.

Good Luck.
i use waterproof mascara and to remove it i use nivea visage facial cleansing wipes you can get them from boots or superdrug

they're really good and pretty cheap to :)

hope this helps x
have you tried the simple face wipes? i can't remember what they're called but it says on the packet that they remove even waterproof mascara, i seen them in superdrug

x
I love this:

I've never known of a makeup remover that removes waterproof mascara. It's mostly a waiting process for that stuff to come off.
The best ones I have used are the Tesco own make eye wipes (in a blue packet like baby wipes) and they are really cheap too.

My eyes are quite senstivie too and they dont leave any greasy-ness afterwards
boots eye makeup remover lotion

its the best and leaves your skin feeling very soft

its quite cheap and comes in a blue bottle
Mary Kay has a really good eye make up remover. It works even on waterproof. I know because I use it. email me for details.
I just use baby wipes, cheap and very effective plus they don't burn like some facial wipes do.
baby oil..i know it sounds weird but my aunt works for sabastian or something like that and that's what they use and it works great
I love Mary Kay's Oil Free Eye Make up Remover...it works wonders!!
dont use waterproof. use regular and use water to remove. it will save you money!
the best think EVER is baby oil..!!!

better than any other cosmetic brands because they take your eye lashes off..
garnier complete cleansing milk
boots do really good eye make up remover or clean and clear
simple eye make up remover wipes.

not that sure

What should I use to remove waterproof mascara? Just normal eye make-up remover?

Because I have the normal remover. What should I use to remove waterproof mascara? Just normal eye make-up remover?
Just be careful and don't use a petroleum based remover it's not good for you - and ends up drying out your lashes and skin. This would be vaseline, mineral oils (baby) - contrary to what everyone is told, that it does remove things - it's Petroleum (google it) = not good for you -

I use the Arbonne brand now honestly it's so/so -

but Bobbi Brown's is best. (Shh don't tell anyone I said that)! What should I use to remove waterproof mascara? Just normal eye make-up remover?
Typically you could remove waterproof mascara with your normal cleanser and water. Just make sure the cleanser you use is okay to use in the eye area. Neutrogena has a great new cleanser called the One Step Gentle Cleanser. It's a face wash and makeup remover in one. You could use it around your eye area.
Yepp. I alwayss wear water proof mascara and most of it will even come off just by washing your face in the shower. But normal remover will do it.
Loreal mascara remover....no matter how waterproof your mascara is....,,,it can remove! goodluck :)
vasiline.
No need to buy expensive make-up removers. Just use vasleine and wipe off with a tissue!
You need to use the one which is specifically designed for removing eye makeup, especially if you are using waterproof mascara. You can check the source for more information on the eye makeup remover and reviews on them.
I always end up using cream/lotion to get it off by putting some on a tissue %26amp; rubbing softly. The makeup removers cost too much and vaseline is too greasy.
Almay works
To remove waterproof mascara, you should use Oil-Free Eye makeup remover by Mary Kay. It is $14.00. If you like more info, view my 360 blog. God Bless you.

  • What brands of make up remover remove waterproof mascara well enough so my eyelashes don't keep falling out?

Nothing is wrong with wearing waterproof mascara. You only need an oil based eye make up remover. Revlon has a good one; so does Neutrogena. and Lancome has one. Oil based removers are usually ones you have to shake before using. You should be able to see the different layers of oil %26amp; water.. shaking helps mix the 2 up. It will not make your face oily; its very light, but extremely efficient. It will not pull your eyelashes out. What brands of make up remover remove waterproof mascara well enough so my eyelashes don't keep falling out?
for me i tried everything , nothing worked. water proof mascara is really bad for that. as soon as i stop using water proof mascara my lashes stopped falling out. i just use liner now instead, way better What brands of make up remover remove waterproof mascara well enough so my eyelashes don't keep falling out?
Mary Kay has an oil-free eye make up remover that is AMAZING! All my friends that have used it at my house are addicted. It works wonders.
Maybelline has a good one, in the blue bottle... It doesn't make my skin oily and it works really well.

IS there any way to remove waterproof mascera without eye make-up remover?

I hate the feeling of it because its so oily and gross. is there any other way?IS there any way to remove waterproof mascera without eye make-up remover?
i just us johnsons make up remover xIS there any way to remove waterproof mascera without eye make-up remover?
The best way is definitely the eye makeup remover.

However, you could try baby oil on a tissue. That works.

The third option is Vaseline. Do your regular face washing routine before you take your mascara off. Then put some Vaseline on your eye lashes and rub it in. Finally, pull gently on your eye lashes with a soft tissue and the mascara will come off! Your eye lashes will be fine, as long as you're gentle.

    I hope I helped,

    ~Elaina (:
lotion, any kind of lotion, works for me. it not only feels nice on your skin, but moisturizes it. be sure to get an oil-free facial lotion if you don't like oily products. i have this really cool product from neutrogena. it is a moisturizer, facial cleanser, and makeup remover all in one. i love it, and its foaming, not oily. maybe you could try that, too?

    hope i helped!
you are essentially asking for the impossible, i think.

i understand why you want to use a waterproof mascara, why don't you try something else. on the market, there are some mascara using ';thermo-sensitve technology'; in mascara, it acts like waterproof, but easily taken off with warm water, the one i use the the Clinique one (lash intense or something)

try it out, it should solve your problem.
I think the best way is to use the oily kind, if it wasn't eye makeup remover I would have said baby oil or olive oil. I like waterproof mascara as well and any other makeup remove seems to not work too well.
Do NOT use Vaseline or any oily product.

The molecules of these are too big to be absorbed by the eye and can eventually lead to Millia = those small white bumps under eyes.

Buy an eye make-up remover that does not have any oil. Nivea's Gentle eye make-up remover is really good and it dissolves make-up instantly.

I need a good waterproof eye make-up remover any recommendation? ?

I have very sensitive eyes. I tried the new sensitive line from Booth that target now carries and I got a horrible rash around my eyes and they puffed up...I need a good waterproof eye make-up remover any recommendation? ?
I love Clarins Instant Eye Make-Up Remover. It gets all the liner and mascara off without a lot of rubbing. Also it conditions the eye area and lashes while it works. Simply soak a cotton round and press and hold it on your eye lid for 5 seconds then sweep it off to the side. Flip the cotton round over and sweep with the clean side. It does not irritate. I have used it on myself and clients and have never had an issue. It also works so fast I will never use anything else. Go to your local Nordstrom or Macy*s and ask the Sales Person to try it on you so you can see for yourself.

Here is a link. Enjoy and I hope this helped.

How come your wearing waterproof if you have this problem? You can purchase very nice cosmetics that will wash off with soap and water. Besides waterproof really has a lot more harmful chemicals in them.
    get these mac wipes

    they r amazing!!

they get all my makeup off!

Almay eye makeup remover pads. I never understand why people make it harder for themselves and use everything else BUT these pads. I don't know what I'd do without them! :)
I use the target brand make-up remover wipes.

they work great for me. takes everything right off.
I just use Baby Oil then carefully wash my face afterwards.
vaseline. put a dab of it on some tissue and wipe make up off. it works like a charm, trust me.
    almay makes a good one

Any good cheap waterproof make up remover that is NOT oily? ?

i had some from rimmel which was good but i cant find it anymore, i got a bottle of stuff from boots but it turned out to be oily, if i wanted fooking oil i would just rub baby oil on!!Any good cheap waterproof make up remover that is NOT oily? ?
Yeah, i use Simple Eye Make-up Remover, it's not greasy at all and it removers even the waterproof stuff.

Is it ok to remove non waterproof make up with water instead of spending money on make up remover?

Soap and water is fine. You don't need an expensive makeup remover. Always use a moisturizer with sunscreen afterwards. Is it ok to remove non waterproof make up with water instead of spending money on make up remover?
if its non waterproof makeup doesnt that mean its not waterproof, so u can use, water? water is cheaper then makeup remover. Is it ok to remove non waterproof make up with water instead of spending money on make up remover?
There's wide range of make up removers. Its not so exp. But if u really wanna save cost try, baby oil or olive oil.

That should also help, just using water will not loosen the make up, end up u have o roughly handle the skin
U can use just water but it's not good for ure skin. If u have money 4 make up u can spend some on removing it, but if relly cant afford it u can use just facial cream(before washing ure face with water!)

but that doesn't mean that u dont have to put on ure cream when u clean ure face.
Water isn't cleansing your skin.... there will still be makeup residue on your skin. A facial cleanser that is fit for your skin type is a good idea, most will remove dirt/oil and your make up. Follow up with a Toner to balance the pH of your skin. With out a good skin care regimine your skin won't stay looking healthy.... to get the most out of your makeup you should use a good skin care routine.
mhm. waterproof makeup just means it lasts a bit longer and if you cry or get splashed in the face with something it wont come off. When you're washing your face with water your using more force with the water and your rubbing it so yeah.

Can i use waterproof make up remover to remove non-waterproof make up?

  • Can olive oil be used as a whole face make up remover, or is it just for the eyes?

Please explain why or why not.

Thank you for answering :]Can olive oil be used as a whole face make up remover, or is it just for the eyes?
the whole face, because it doesn't matter weather its eye makeup or not; olive oil removes anything on skin, including dirt. Can olive oil be used as a whole face make up remover, or is it just for the eyes?
the eyes only, you shouldn't put oil on your face

Why is oil used in make-up removers?

Most make-ups are oil-based so applying the scientific rule ';like dissolves like';, it will make oil removed the products of the same characteristics easily. Oils are hydrophobic, meaning ';fear of water';, hence it will be more stubborn to be eliminated by water. But of course, after applying make-up removers, one should rinse their face to avoid the clogging of pores.

I hope this will help... ^-^Why is oil used in make-up removers?
This is because oil makes a good solvent for most powders and cosmetic ingredients. Why is oil used in make-up removers?
because oil basically sucks up all the makeup of your skin and its like a remover for mascaras and eyeliners also eyeshadows along with face powders. Just be sure to wash your face so the oil doesnt cause you to break out. oil + skin = pimpleface and yah no we you dont want that.
It absorbs the oils used in makeups plus on your face

Can a make-up remover that's for eye and lips be used on the face to remove make-up as well?

    no...

because the eyes and the lips are sensitive and if used any where else it might start a rash

    read the instructiond...

and have fun with your make up!

xoxCan a make-up remover that's for eye and lips be used on the face to remove make-up as well?
    Thats ridiculous.

Yes it can. Because your eyes are the most sensitive part of your face, things that are designed for your eyes are made to be gentle, therefor anything thats used on your eye can be used anywhere else. =]Can a make-up remover that's for eye and lips be used on the face to remove make-up as well?
Generally, an EYE make up remover contains oil that should not be in the cleanser used to wash your face. What's your skin care routine?
no it's different face use facial cleansing cream

Hi friends what is the best make up remover you have ever used????

some people advised me to use olive oil others said Vaseline , plz let me know . thanks :)Hi friends what is the best make up remover you have ever used????
without a doubt for me, it's Clinique Take the Day Off.Hi friends what is the best make up remover you have ever used????
    i dont no
Ponds Cold Cream... been using it for years.
Vaseline is the best. But you can also try Clinique.
    Noxema noxema noxema!!!!
I've always used the Avon brand makeup remover - it's a lotion remover %26amp; not harsh on your face at all. I can't see using olive oil - I think it would make oily skin oilier. Vaseline would be too thick %26amp; hard to remove.
Yikes don't use Vaseline! The best eye make up remover I've used is Mary Kay and for removing face make up any nice creamy cleanser is good. Abolene cream is VERY good and has been around for a long time.
The best make up remover is olive oil. The expensive high end products don't do half the job olive oil does. You need to take quite a long time removing heavy make up with these fancy products because they're not as effective. Olive oil gets rid of heavy eye make up like tons of mascara and heavy shadow and thick foundation very simply and effectively. At the same time, it moisturizes your skin and after washing off the olive oil with your facial cleanser, your skin is really clear and make up free. Olive oil is especially useful for removing the make up foundation around the nose area. It removes foundation cleanly and completely so chances of getting blackheads and whiteheads around the nose are eliminated.
Hi,the best eyemakeup remover is Aziza if you can still find. I don't reccomend vaseline because it is made of petroleum and that is not a very natural product to be putting on your face. After you wash your face you can remove anything remaining on your skin with witchazel which is cheap, natural and can find at any pharmacy.
Simple...do not buy any expensive product, I use baby oil of any brand. My mother taught me that...It works and it doesn't burn your eyes and it moisterizes. and it doesn't make your face greasy either
Mary Kay 3n1 Cleanser and they have the best oil free eye make-up remover. It will take off water-proof mascara in one rub. It is the best stuff I have ever used.
olay cleanser...veyr gentle for my dry skin.....
Good question! I never knew you could use olive oil to remove makeup, but which type? Pure olive oil or extra virgin?

I'm currently using a cucumber cleansing milk to remove my makeup and chamomile gentle eye-makeup remover, both from Body Shop.

Perhaps I'll try the olive oil when my makeup removers diminish. For those who use olive oil, are you sure they won't cause oil spots to develop? I did use baby oil in my teens to remove makeup around my eyes and tiny oil sacs showed up on my lower eye lid - because of this, I never used baby oil for that again.
The best one I have ever used is from Clarins, but is rather expenses. If you really love your skin, then give it the best!
if its for the eyes, i use maybelline eye makeup remover.
Please dont try vaseline on your face some people react differently, try it on your arms first if you dont get a reaction then i guess you could try it on your face but numerouse of people dont recomend it especially on your eyes its just not ment for it. your eyes are to sensitve to handle all that patrolium jelly thats what vaseline is. Everyones recomendation is shiseido makeup remover it works wonders! but thats a little pricey, So your other best solution is soft lotion like neutrogena, but reapeat dont use lotion that has mineral oil its very damaging to the skin. So final answer use soft lotion it will get all that makeup off. and plus you probably have some lotion already.
You know what works best? Unscented baby wipes! So easy to use...
    Vaseline?

Never heard that one ! Wouldnt it make your face greesy.

The best one i have used was a Nutrimetics one but i use a nivea one at the moment.

Does anyone here uses petroleum jelly for make up remover?

    i need help!

is it good for my skin(petroleum jelly)? and.. what is the best moisturizer?

i'm turning 19 in december and i still don't use a moisturizer on my face. i wear makeup almost everyday. or every time i go out especially blush-on. Does anyone here uses petroleum jelly for make up remover?
No, not petroleum jelly on your face. It's too heavy and you pull the skin too much wiping it off. Save the petroleum jelly for rough hands and elbows and feet.

As for the moisturizer, use it every day, even if you don't use makeup. Choose a light one that is compatible with your makeup. Your moisturizer should have some decent sunblock protection as well. Aim for SPF 25/30 minimum.

Check out Eucerin moisturizer in the pink cap, and take a look at Neutrogena moisturizer and face cleansers, all available in drugstores for under $10 each.

It's good to start facial skin care habits early.

Start now. Your skin needs moisture, especially in the winter.

    Good Luck!

Does anyone here uses petroleum jelly for make up remover?
My God, get that stuff out of your life forever. It is very bad for your skin and has bad cancer causing stuff in it. It's a good thing you asked. It means you are in tune with your body. Best thing to remove make-up is jojoba oil. I take my own bottle to essential oil shop and they refill it. Cheap and good for the environment. I am to lazy to moisturize also but I know that when I do, it is a huge improvment to my face. If I had a choice between make-up and moisturizer. I would choose the later in a second.
Use Clinique Facial Moisturizer. It works well. :)

    Take care x
yeah sure i use it and my skins fine...

How to remove eyeliner without make up remover...nd how 2 use liquid eyeliner..i am currently using pencil..?

To remove eyeliner, if you're on a budget or just can't get remover, shampoo generally works well, with a cotton ball or to just wash your face with it. Just bee careful not to get it in your eye, it really does sting.

To use liquid eyeliner, be extremely careful. It usually comes on thick, and it take a while to dry, so don't raise your eyelids too high or anything, because it will smudge, and you'd have to start the whole process over again.

good luck! How to remove eyeliner without make up remover...nd how 2 use liquid eyeliner..i am currently using pencil..?
Revlon Eye make up remover pen. I swear by it.How to remove eyeliner without make up remover...nd how 2 use liquid eyeliner..i am currently using pencil..?
the best i use is a qtip with vasaline....works magic. I wouldnt go for liquid, i would get a roll up pen liner instead of pencil
i use baby wipes or a q tip dipped into some baby oil for under the eyes...and when using liquid liner make sure you can rest your elbow on a table so you have a nice steady hand and dot it on as close to your lashes as you can get then connect the dots, it does take practice so be patient !
I use a cotton swab with hot water to remove my eyeliner. It works just as well as remover, just without the oil and goo. With liquid liner you can use a tiny brush and just use the tip of the brush so that it doesnt apply heavy. Always makesure to use water to wet the brush and never saliva.
i swear by clinique eye makeup remover...the bottle lasts forever. otherwise, i usually get most of it off when i wash my face with really warm water, followed by qtips or cotton swabs. liquid eyeliner is something you need to practice using. be very careful when applying and not too generous - its easier to add more than take it away because it will smudge and dry quickly. be careful not to get it in your eye, it stings pretty bad sometimes. the first time i used it when i was a teenager i got it in my eye and didn't use it for years.

  • Can baby oil be used as a make up remover?

will it make my skin oily? are there any side effects? Can baby oil be used as a make up remover?
I use it to remove eye makeup and it works wonders; it comes right off. I've also heard comments that people who have used baby oil to take off their eye makeup look younger when they become older; less lines, wrinkles, etc. Not exactly sure what the reason for this would be, maybe the moisture? I wouldn't recommend using it all over your face because the main ingredient is mineral oil and that will clog your pores. Can baby oil be used as a make up remover?
I never use it on my face, just my eyes. It will make your skin oily unless you have dry skin. To remove make-up from your face, buy a cleanser that can remove makeup.
    I'm not really sure

    use vasliene that work
Umm, If you wash your face after, It should work!

If you don't wash your face... Yes it will get oily
    yes u can

i used to do it and my friendz too ,
Yes, it works--just as regular old olive oil will work, too. But, being oils... they're really not a good mix if you already have somewhat oily skin.

Personally I can't stand the feel or smell of it, even after I wash it off with warm water and soap.

There are a lot of good non-oil based cleansers specifically for darker eye makeup and ';waterproof'; eye products. They probably cost a little more than baby oil, but hey, you know you're getting something that's better for your skin.

And if you wait until a department store has some ';gift time'; at one of their makeup counters, you can usually get some Lancome/Clinique/etc makeup remover for free in the gift bags they give out along with a purchase.
Your skin will get REALLY oily and itll be hard to wash off

    Rather buy a good toner

They remove surface dirt, oil and makeup :)
baby oil is excellent for eyeliner and mascara removal. Do not apply it to your face, use a facial cleaner for makeup removal there.
Yes, it can be.But it would pay to get one that is made for makeup removal and wont harm your skin.

I'm african american and I've had acne since I was ten years old, 12 years ago. My skin has finally cleared up and has been clear since the beginning of this year. I only get breakouts when I'm stressed but I have dark some dark spots on my face. I've used every soap and topical gel under the sun and I try to drink at least two or three large glasses of water a day. What are some tips for clear pretty skin???What are some ways of removing make up besides using make up remover cloths and/or water and what are some...?
i know that vaseline is a good thing to use to get make up off. its cheap and really gentle and moisturzing on ur skin but i dont really know about the lotion. u dont want to get something that has too much stuff going on or lese it mmight b too harsh on ur skin. i would just keep it simple and get a neutrogena moisturizer for combination skin

hope this helps :]What are some ways of removing make up besides using make up remover cloths and/or water and what are some...?
drink lots of green tea :)

don't use too many products on your face

vaseline removes makeup and it's healthy

    get tons of sleep

yes the answer is very unspecific but i've found being OCD about my skin just made it 50 times worse. make sure you're healthy and hydrated, using daily moisterizer with SPF, and washing twice a day but staying away from strong salicylic acid and benzyl peroxide treatments

Are using make up remover wipes good enough?

I HATE washing my face at night. I wear a lot of eye make up and foundation...I've been using Nuetrogena's make up remover pads and it says I don't have to rinse my face. I love them, they work great. But is it good enough? Or do I have to wash my face either way...

I always wash my face in the morning in the shower and I heard you should only wash your face once a day...so idk!!!Are using make up remover wipes good enough?
Well the wipes are great I use them myself. But after you remove the make up, you should still actually cleanse your skin. Especially if you wear that much make up. You have to think of it as two separate things. One is removing make up, one is actually cleansing your skin. You could still have make up on your skin, along with bacteria, pollution from the air, dust, smoke ect. That thought alone grosses me out. But then again I do skin care for a living.

Washing your face once a day is perfect. The most important cleanse is before bed because that is when you have the entire's day worth of junk on your face. In the morning what did you do besides sleep? You are fine. So that would be your one cleanse. The only time to cleanse twice is if you have oily skin. Are using make up remover wipes good enough?
I do the same thing, as long as you do something at night to clean your face. its not really ';good enough'; but it will do as long as you are washing your face in the morning. Probably wouldnt hurt to wash at night and in morning since you wear a lot of eye make up and foundation. I bet you will see an improvement if you are having issues with your skin.
    omg! i use those too!

well I DO rinse my face after using them because my eyes are left all oily and greasy so I just rub my face with some water and it's fine

washing your face only once a day isn't really a rule, I wash my face sometimes 3x a day, depending on how my skin feels
As long as youre washing your face in the morning too, Im sure that makeup remover wipes are absolutely fine for at night. Thats what I usually do too.

Well since you've been using them for so long and your skin is good then yea it's fine

What's the best make up remover that I can use without burning my eyes???

I like baby oil. After i take a shower i get some toilet paper, make it into a little square and but a bit of baby oil on it and rub the square on my eyes! Well...don't try to open your eyes when you're taking your makeup offWhat's the best make up remover that I can use without burning my eyes???
I can't remember what it's called (sorry!) but the one they sell at The Body Shop. It doesn't smell chemically, like a lot of them, and it's gentle. In addition, it's not greasy, which is always nice. But yes, Vaseline is one of the most gentle things out there. The only disadvantage is that it's heavy and greasy! What's the best make up remover that I can use without burning my eyes???
I USE PETROLEUM JELLY VASELINE THAT'S WORKS ON ME.
Neutrogena in the blue bottle with the silver cap. even removes waterproof.
    cold cream
Vaseline works really well. just apply it carefully around your eyes and wherever you put makeup on and then it will come off real easy.
I use Equate ';Facial Cleansing Towelettes'; Cleans %26amp; Removes Make-up for all skin types. %26amp; Works for me!
    Albolene ... it is terrrific!

It also will do as a moisturizer ... you can use it after a shower instead of

body lotion, then towel it off so it wont

stain your clothes ...it will take off heavy stage make up also

but to answer your question, it would be fine just avoid the eye areas.
i am not sure why don't you google it or check it by clean and clear website.

Well definitely not as an eye make up remover! That would sting your eyes! But I use that exact same stuff to remove my foundation and blush.

Neutrogena Make-Up Remover kind of dries out my skin.. Would it work to use Oil of Olay after?

I just recently started using Neutrogena Make-Up Remover Cleansing Towelettes, and they work great for getting all my makeup off. But it leaves my skin feeling really dry. I've been using Oil of Olay for a long time and it makes my skin really soft! It depends on if your skin is really sensitive or not. It may irritate it if you use those towelettes which already have their own ingredients. I'd say look for the oil of olay towelettes, I think they make them. I use Oil of Olay also and I have good skin. I use the make up remover mostly on my eyes then use Oil of Olay after. It works so well....if you get a little bit of mascara underneath your lower lashes, get a Q-Tip and but a little bit of the cleanser on it...works wonders!!!!

You just pump twice in your hands, close your eyes, and rub the cleanser on your eyes. Splash some water on them and wipe off.

    I LOVE THIS STUFF!!!
i use boots basics eye make up remover pads

its honestly the best thing i ever used and its just over 拢1

iv tried all sorts of things but the worst thing i used was nivea products, even the sensitive skin ones made my eyes sting so much i couldnt stand it!
I've just started using Rimmel's eye makeup remover and it seems to be working quite well. I have sensitive eyes so there are many products out there that I can't use but I can't really say they are bad.

The only thing I would stay away from are wipes just for the simple reason that they really are wasteful. A good eye makeup remover and face cloth can do the exact same thing.
I use Simple..because it is not perfumed and very natural. Once I tried MAC's and it made my eyes burn like crazy. I also tried Elemis once and it was also very irritating to the skin. Simple is cheap and it works!
Mary Kay, Maybeline, Yves Rocher are good. I tried something from Avon before that I didn't like.
lorial doesnt worke at all 4 me i use jergens
yep i agree totally with Kirsty G. Johnson wipes or wipes of any kind are great. they come in a range of different types (sensitive skin etc.), are easy and quick to use, do a great job and are cheap as.

i wouldnt recommend using just water, wont do it at all. hope i helped :)
gee... that was quick! by benefit cosmetics

an oil-free makeup remover for eyes and face

Now you see it! Now you don't! This oil-free makeup remover for eyes %26amp; face thoroughly removes makeup without an oily residue. It leaves skin feeling soft, clean, refreshed, and well hydrated. Clean livin' never felt so good!

Tips and tricks: Use with a cotton pad and whisk off...it's as instant as that.

I use Jonsons wipes! They are brilliant! There are different types so if you have sensative skin your fine! They also cleans and tone aswel so you are getting your moneys worth along with being quick and simple!!
I use baby oil or vaseline. It's great for removing stobborn mascara. I only use a little bit and am careful not to get it in my eyes.
The only thing I use is baby oil. I have tried the special formulas sold in the stores and they burn my eye!!! I would stay away from them. ( Maybelline and all that ) Baby oil has moisture and works really well on waterproof mascara. It takes it off quickly.

What kind of eye make up remover do you use?

I'm so lazy, I just wash mine off in the shower.

I used to use the Cover Girl one, but that was really oily. I also used the Mary Kay one that was really nice. But I ran out and just never got around to buying it.What kind of eye make up remover do you use?
The Body Shop Eye Makeup Remover, lasts quite a while as well.

It's totally awesome. If you wear foundation or heavy eye makeup (i do), it comes right off with a little cotton pad. Plus you can rub it right over your eyes and it won't hurt, get's it right off. What kind of eye make up remover do you use?
To me, the light blue bottle with white cap makeup remover by L'oreal is best. I use Clarins, but that one gave me eye irritation each time. I used to use Baby oil, that one's great for waterproof mascara...
I use the loreal eye make-up remover and its good cause its not oily and it removes both waterproof and regular makeup
the easiest (and probably cheapest) way to get eye make up off is to go buy sum Johnsons Baby Oil and put it on a q-tip. it works fabulously.
    rimmel gentle eye makeup remover.

its soooo amazing- it isnt oily and doesnt sting my eyes like a lot of other makeup removers do.
I just use baby oil and a cotton ball. it gets everything off. It does leave ur skin around ur eyes a little oily but it goes away in a couple of minutes.
i use almay eyemakeup remover and when im out of it i use babywipes!
i use neutrogena makeup remover pads at wallmart for8.00
a lancome one. its pretty good but u have to make sure u wipe it off after otherwise it just stays there and gets oily. but it works
    neutragena
    I just use vaseline.
    almay or ponds makeup cleansers
I use soap and water. It really works great.

no you shouldn't use any sort of cream if you have oily skin!!! get an oil free makeup remover.. i know MAC has a really good one.. kinda expensive but its worh the moneyShould i use ponds make-up remover cold cream?
NO. It is too greasy. Buy normal Neutrogena face wash. The orange liquid. Use that to wash of eye make up, and clean your face. Then use Apricot scrub by St. Ives. It is delicate for all skin types. Yet strong for acne. Trust me.
try removing any facial makeup with your cleanser and eye makeup with almay makeup removing pads, they are my favorite and they come in moisturizing with oil to nurture the eye area or oil free.

Is using make-up remover to wash make-up brushes bad for the brushes?

yeahh kinda... the best way to clean out ur make-up brushes is to take shampoo and put it on ur brush and let the water run in ur sink and wash them off like that... when all the shampoo is off... ur brushes r clean! :)Is using make-up remover to wash make-up brushes bad for the brushes?
Yes-use a mild shampoo. Then blow dry.Is using make-up remover to wash make-up brushes bad for the brushes?
The best thing you can clean your make-up brushes is baby shampoo..Its very mild.. DO NOT BLOW DRY THEM..

What you do is wash, reshape and lay to flat dry... I do it at night, so in the morning there dry..
I would advise against the makeup remover.

When I'm in a rush, I just use brush cleaner. It's dry within a few minutes.

They sell a decent sized bottle at Mac for $11, but you still need to deep clean them at least every two weeks, preferably weekly. When deep cleaning, wash thoroghly but gently with a mild shampoo, reshape, and then lie flat on a paper towel to dry overnight. Check out Enkoremakeup on Youtube if you would like to see a visual demonstration :)

Can i use waterproof make up remover to remove non-waterproof make up?

    help me.thank you

Do you use a make up remover & then wash your face?

I don't wear makeup that often, so I am curious if I should buy something special to remove foundation, or just wash my face twice with my normal facial cleanser?Do you use a make up remover %26amp; then wash your face?
you can use toner to get rid

of make-up you didn't wash off

    after you've washed your face.

i use the body shop seaweed

    purifying toner.

(:Do you use a make up remover %26amp; then wash your face?
You should probably buy eye makeup remover, to get ride of mascara and eyeliner. Other then that I just use Clean and Clear Morning Burst. It works well because it has little beads that can exfoliate your skin. You can buy it anywhere for about 5$. Then I use witch hazel as an astringent. I apply it with small cotton rounds. Then I put on Mary Kay moisturizer to keep my skin from getting too dry.

I personally just wash my face with cleanser and I find it removes my face makeup pretty well. I do use eye-makeup remover though. If your eye-makeup isn't waterproof it may run when you wash your face so it is good to use it before cleansing.
washing your face twice drys out your skin and is really bad for it, so my advise is to get a face wash that removes makeup for when you do wear it. they usually say on the bottle ';removes make up'; or something.
All you really need is your normal facial cleanser. You can use witch hazel as a toner, and then moisterize. No need for a makeup remover unless you wear water proof mascara.
I only wear a light foundation. It never occurred to me to use a make-up remover.
you should buy make up remover for like mascara and eyeliner but just for foundation you only need to wash your face with your normal face wash

    :]
I use a make-up remover and then wash my face, but I'm prone to get acne

It's up to you though, If i was you I would just use a daily facial wash with microbeads

    =]
when i do wear make up I remove my make up with wipes since they are less expensive and then wash face. washing your face with just water is like putting soap on your body and not scrubbing it.
You don't have to have makeup remover for your foundation. Washing your face twice a day is the best way.
I generally use make up remover to take off my makeup.. then just use a baby wipe over my face..

And then cleanse tone and moisturise in the morning :)

    hope this helps :) x
nope i just wash my face.

NO!!!!! If you can't wait until your Angel Eyes arrives, go to your local pet store and get a tear stain remover. Eye makeup remover isn't even supposed to go in human eyes, let alone a dog's. There is no way to prevent it from going in their eyes, so just don't!

The tear stains aren't doing anything to your dog. Chances are that your dog doesn't even know that he/she has them. Just leave it!
Since your dog is not wearing makeup, I wouldn't use anything around its eyes that wasn't safe for dogs. I doubt very much if it will remove the stains.

Angels' Eyes Prevents Future staining, it does not get rid of the stains your dog already has. The stained hair will grow out with time.
Absolutley not...if you use eye makeup on your dogs tear stains, it could either cause extreme irritation or could harm the eye itself. I would wait for the angel eyes, because that works very well. I have used it on my poodle, and it works amazing.
no.. makeup remover may cause irritations.

Its best to wait until the angel eyes arrives.. your dog has had tear stains this long, it wont hurt to leave them there abit longer.. the tear stains are ugly, but are not harming your dog.
No. If anything, you may want to try a cotton ball soaked in warm water. And maybe watered down baby shampoo. Just be careful not to get it in pup's eyes.
    NO!!!!!

Wait for your angel eyes to arrive.

A dog's skin has a different ph to ours and is much more delicate, especially in the delicate eye area.
Thats an interesting idea but would you want to risk your dogs health over a couple of days of waiting for your angel eyes to come. I would just wait.
It DOESN'T work. Why waste it?

Diamond Eyes is the ONLY product I've seen do squat.

Change your feed to a LOWER PROTEIN level!!!
I wouldnt if i wear u. You can buy eye wipes and tear stain remover from pet stores..i dnt kno what angel eyes is...

    but yea

    hope this helped

    xxx
No way! Dont use any make up remover for you dog it contains chemicals that can hurt or irritate your dogs eyes.
no gosh - there are tons of tear stain removers on the market for dogs so just use one of those.
I would'nt I would just use warn water until your angel eyes arrives,
Nope. Ask the your dog's breeder what they use.
    I wouldn't.

Is it really neccessary to use a make-up remover follow by your daily cleanser??

how about those 2-in-1 cleansers which is both a make-up remover and cleanser?? is it really clean? Is it really neccessary to use a make-up remover follow by your daily cleanser??
yes in Mary Kay they say clease use eye makeup remover every timeIs it really neccessary to use a make-up remover follow by your daily cleanser??
nope. Just a gentle clean twice a day - no problems. Eye make up remover may be necessary if you use waterproof eye make-up however
Depending on how much make up you use, it might be a good idea to use a remover and then wash your face afterwards
Only you can be the judge of that.
i dont know much about that but i'm using lorea'l facial wash then followed up by a toner then a moisturizer for my face, it works just as well and my face feels really clean and rejuvenated.
Try to limit the cleaning products you use on your skin because the skin produces it's own beneficial oils and when you over-cleanse, its kind of like throwing out the baby with the bath water.
    yes
The only time you need a separate makeup remover is when the makeup you wear is waterproof. It won't come off with the cleanser alone. If you buy a 2-in-1, then it does the job of both.

Remember to use the right products for your skin. Not all skin types can use the same cleanser, and using the wrong one can cause more problems than it solves.
Ya it's fine, but much more important thing to do is you have to remove your make daily coz our skin have very small holes which was closed due to make-up layers so it's not possible for our skin to take oxygen and for good skin it's urgent to nurise our skin.

So it's good that you are thinking financially, but while selecting good make-up remover and cleaner plz check it's brand and it's date of manufacture that's coz cosmetic items expire very fast.
Philosophy has a great all in one cleanser out called purity.I have been using it for about a year now.It makes your skin very soft..best of all it melts all the makeup off your skin.Even stuborn waterproof mascara! It is so gentle I litterally wash my face without ever closing my eyes.No stinging. You can find it in a QVC.com search or philosophy.com

  • I cant get my eye shadow off, ive used make up remover and its stained my eyelids pink. What can i do?

I've used loads of makeup remover, but i dont want to scrub too hard cos il get sore eyes. Stupid Barry m!I cant get my eye shadow off, ive used make up remover and its stained my eyelids pink. What can i do?
maybe they look pink from rubbing them or you might have a reaction to the makeup remover ? o.o see how it is in a few hours/tomorrow.I cant get my eye shadow off, ive used make up remover and its stained my eyelids pink. What can i do?
You need to use an oil based eye make up remover, not just a remover designed for make up.

The skin on your eyelids is more delicate that the rest of your face and it will soak up the colour of the make up you hve been using over the years.

I have ';permanent'; eye shadow on now since I have been using eye make up for years but I dont really mind it as it saves me having to apply lol.

I am certain if you used oil based eye make up remover and soft tissue - not cotton wool as that can get caught up in your eyelashes and you could get it in your eyes - then you will be able to remove it all.

    Good luck.
what type of eye shadow was it? that doesnt seem normal...

maybe leave it for the night and try again tomorrow.... you can try washing it with sorbolene or soap...

it sounds like your skin is sensitive, maybe look into the brands of make up you are using, stick to mineral makeup if possible, its a bit less damaging on the skin.

and if all else fails till your skin calms down just put on metalic coloured eye shadows like brown to cover the pinK!!

    goodluck
Apply vaseline to the area. Petroleum jelly is best used to remove eye shadow. Place a dab on your finger and wipe over the eyelids. Remove with a wash cloth.
It is probably because you have a cheap make up remover. Take a shower but if you don't it will probably come off in your sleep anyway so don't worry
I think that maybe the eye shadow has come off, and that it is already sore. Perhaps, because you've been rubbing it too much and that your eyelids look pink because they are in fact sore.
Like a sauna.. hold your face over a large bowl of hot water, this will open you pores and clean your face then after rinse with cold water to close your pores, then use makeup remover again babez xxxxxx
In future, use tonics for make-up removing... they're very nice, i use them, and no matter how much make-up i have on, it's gone in a sec !
try some vaseline that tends to work well and it conditions your eyelashes at the same time

i use barry m and ive never had a problem taking it off
try baby oil...i use baby oil
What Barry M. Try baby oil if not call the company did you think that it was permanent eyeshadow????????
    try baby oil good luck
baby oil is always good for that..

What kind of make up remover to you use?

I've never bought my own before, haha I just took it from my mom but I need some now. So suggestions? Just your regular stuff, you know something I could find at target.

Thanks! What kind of make up remover to you use?
i use almay for eye make up remover. it's pretty cheap and it works really good! get the oil free kind. What kind of make up remover to you use?
because i have sensitive eyes i always got puffy eyes from certain eye makeup removers like the target brand

now i use almay it is so gentle and it works really well i suggest it
almay eye make up remover pre-soaked pads

and a good gentle cleanser for the face (ie. Dove for sensitive skin or cetaphil)
In my house we all use Avon eye makeup remover.
baby shampoo ... i have heard it works but never really tried it
estee lauder's take it away... and i love it
    i just use water

Do i need to use make up remover?

do i need to use make up remover to remove sun block from my skin?????Do i need to use make up remover?
no, you can just wash it off.

unless its water prof, witch will come off with soapDo i need to use make up remover?
No just wash your skin with a body wash/shower gel.
just use a normal face wash will do. Makeup remover is more for the eye area since it's milder.

Is it really necessary to use eye make-up remover to remove eye make-up?

i just started using mascara and eyeliner and never used eye make-up remover before, only cleansing soap to remove make-up. so im just wondering whether it would be better to use eye make-up remover to remove the mascara and eyeliner. if yes, how do you use it? and which brand would you recommend me to buy?

thanks very much..Is it really necessary to use eye make-up remover to remove eye make-up?
The makeup removers seem to work better and don't require as much rubbing but you don't need the expensive stuff. Good old Ponds (the cold cream that your great-grandma used) makes a lighter cream that is inexpensive, does a great job and can be rinsed off with water. Is it really necessary to use eye make-up remover to remove eye make-up?
It is not necessary, just use soap and water. The use of make-up remover is for ladies who have time and cash to waste.
it is necessary to use eye make up remover to remove eyemake upo but i always reccommend that you use a non oily one but you can also use a skin cleanser which comes ina lotion form you need to apply it with cotton wool you caqn use that as an alternative. but with semi permanet eye cosmetics an eyemake up remover is essentail.
I wear waterproof eye make-up and it is necessary to use a remover to get my mascara off at the end of the day. I use an inexpensive remover that is a Boots name brand. I find that you require less tugging and pulling on the delicate skin that surrounds the eyes. This means less stretching and damage over the years.
Mary Kay Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover !!! its expensive but lasts a really long time. bottle i have now is a year and a half old. i guess if you dont use waterproof mascarra then you dont need to worry about remover but it does help get everything off and then you can start with fresh clean eyes to re apply makeup
    clinique or clarins
How do i now i have never done it
Eye make up removers do the best job without too much rubbing, they dissolve the make up and cause less irritation to the eyes. Any brand really, cheap and cheerful are just as good as the more expensive ones on the market.
If your not using waterproff products then I wouldnt worry about a remover
baby oil is good, it also conditions your eyelashes. just make sure that if you do it before going out, that the shine has gone before you apply more.

its all about trial and error!
I just used soap and water when I wasn't too tired to just go to bed (it goes away in my sleep ) but I have sensitive eyes and family dollar sells their brand of make up remover and it works too...it's just like a soapy washcloth. Dove and Ponds also make them as well. Good luck to ya.
Not necessarily. It depends on what type of eye make-up you have. If you have waterproof mascara, eyeliner, etc..., you will need to use some type of eye make-up remover as soap and water will not wash it away. Really any generic brand from a drugstore works just fine. If your eye make up isn't waterproof, soap and water is just fine.
baby wipes work just as good try that
I find it hurts like hell if you get non-eye make-up remover in your eye. I use Nivea wipes. Johnson's pH5.5 eye make-up remover is best, but it's really hard to find. I don't know anywhere that sells it regularly, but sometimes you find it in junk shops.
yes its better because with the remover it will remove completely
i normally take lotion and just use it with a soft towl.

Can you use Bella Pierre make up remover as a moisturizer?

This is what the lady when I bought it told me but can you?Can you use Bella Pierre make up remover as a moisturizer?
No, never leave makeup remover on your face. When you take off your makeup, make sure to wash off any extra makeup remover with water and soap because it will go into your pores and clog them, causing excess bacteria and dirt to go in. Just use a regular face moisturizer

Do facial cleansers remove makeup? Or MUST you use make-up remover?

I'm using Cerave as my facial cleanser and was wondering if it removes makeup or not?Do facial cleansers remove makeup? Or MUST you use make-up remover?
it doesn't really matter if u use makeup remover or not. most cleansers wipe off your makeup when u use it on ur face. but if u wear heavy eyeliner or eyeshadow u definetly should use the makeup remover around your eyes before u use the cleanser.Do facial cleansers remove makeup? Or MUST you use make-up remover?
Makeup gets removed (or sometimes unfortunately slides off your face) when it comes in contact with oil. That's why the oil on your eyelids make your makeup slide off if you don't use a primer. An effective way to take off makeup at the end of the day is to use a soap that is oil based. What I mean by an oil based soap is, if you look at the list of ingredients on the packaging or bottle, an oil is listed as the first ingredient. I like to use Aubrey Organics soaps or Burts Bees soaps. They're usually coconut oil based and moisturizing! I've been doing this for 6 years now, and I've bought a bottle of makeup remover only once in my life (before I knew about this)!
I use both, I found out it works better for me. Mostly because my eyeliner/eye make-up wants to stay on and once I tab my make-up remover on it comes off just like that, with a facial cleanser I always had to scrub which made my face more sensitive.

So bottom line: I say use both.=]

    Hope I Helped!!=]
I would say to buy a make up remover or even facial cloths you can buy them at the local beauty supply store so I would say to use those and just a facial soap not intended for cleansing the face
you can use a toner(alcohol) just to be sure you get all the dirt from your face
some facial cleanser can remove makeup and cleanse skin at once

  • Can I use an eye make up remover to cleanse my eye area?

I don't wear any eye make up (only some eye creams) but have to cleanse my eye area (lids, lashes) about twice a day as I'm prone to eye infection. Right now I'm using my facial cleanser to clean my eyes but I'm afraid this might dry them out.Can I use an eye make up remover to cleanse my eye area?
Yes, you can use an eye make-up remover to do that. I found an unusual cleanser from Germany that might be good for what your special needs are. It looks just like water, but is a gentle cleanser... The brand name is AYER and the product name is Ayerogen (complexe Hydro-Performante). You might be able to order it online if you don't have access to imported European products. Can I use an eye make up remover to cleanse my eye area?
There are special lid scrubs that you can get from your eye doctor. But something that works just as well is diluted baby shampoo. Mix up a small bottle (so it doesn't get contaminated) of 1 part baby shampoo to 2 parts water. This is much cheaper and safer to use on your eyelids than eye makeup remover.
yeah, just don't use it on your face any where else, don't get it in your eyes.
better to just use industrial paint thinner... really does the job well and if you splash enough on your face you might even get the same effect as Michael Jackson. Simply Stunning!

removing with cotton pad till the lotion turns from brown to white?Hi. When we use make up remover the lotion type, how do we know if we have remove it completely? ?

For me, the dodgiest bit is my eyes...with mascara n all. By the end of the day ur makeup left shldn't be tt heavy, so a couple of swipes n all of it shld be gone. Ensure however that ur heaviest bit of makeup part is clean by swiping a couple extra times...follow w a wash of ur face to ensure everything is off.

If i use a make-up remover, can i forego washing my face with a cleanser? or do i still need to wash my face?

I noticed that a facial cleanser is not enough to remove all of my make-up like mascara and eyeliner. My friend suggested make-up remover. After using the remover, i feel that my face is not yet clean. Is using a facial cleanser to wash my face too much after using the make-up remover? If i use a make-up remover, can i forego washing my face with a cleanser? or do i still need to wash my face?
use bothIf i use a make-up remover, can i forego washing my face with a cleanser? or do i still need to wash my face?
you should still wash your face to get rid of any excess oils that may still be on your face.

i use a make up remover first, and then i wash my face with noxema.

i pretty much only get pimples when its that time of the month, so i think my regimen works well :)
yes ur right, make wipes dont take all ur makeup off. they remove ur mascara and eyeshadow-stuff like that but i u wear foundation or heavier stuff it is better to use a facial wash which removes makeup and dirt also. this will prevent breakouts and stop pores from getting clogged.
Make up remover removes the make-up, usually it is oil %26amp; water emulsion. There' s oil left over. Use a gentle cleanser afterwards, like Nutrogena Liquid Cleanser.
i buy the daily facial wipes...removes all the makeup and cleans the face in one easy step.
after removing makeup, use a cleanser, exfoliate (every other day if your skin is sensitive), moisturize, and in the morning use SPF and at night restore.
You don't have to wash it afterwards with cleanser, I just recommend that you rinse it off.

Just splash your face with a little bit of water.
Wash your face. If you don't then imagine that all those chemicals are still on your face from the makeup remover and the remover may still contain some makeup dirt in it. If it's too much for you to wash your face at least splash water and pat it down.
well what i do is i use eye makeup remover and take off my eye make up first and then i wash my face with a makeup remover foam. and vola. you face should be washed to get the dirt from ur pores. even though some cleansers can do it. the water wil help.
No it shouldnt not unless it is a harsh facial cleanser such as noe that is very drying.

Use a cream fasical wash and it should be fine.

Do I need to use a make up remover prior to my face cleanser?

I use a face cleanser every night that helps me control my acne (followed by toner, moisturizer, etc). I've been wearing a lot of make up lately and wondering if I need to or should use a make up remover cloth (or something else) to remove the make up before washing my face with the cleanser...or perhaps that's redundant since the cleanser is supposed to, well, cleanse? Thoughts?Do I need to use a make up remover prior to my face cleanser?
    For your face, no.

For you eyes, Yes, and one specifically for eye make up removal.

    Avon's eye make-up remover is only $1.99.

    PK

http://www.youravon.com/kingrahamDo I need to use a make up remover prior to my face cleanser?
the less chemicals you use the better. They have makeup now that is for acne prone skin. Though most girls use wash cloths no remove makeup also- i dint recommend it... it irritated the skin and can cause the chemicals to go deeper into the skin
If you wear a lot of eye make up, you should probably use make-up remover because it may be hard to wash with a cleanser around your eyes. It may irritate, also
    Yeah, mascara is a *****.
Yes, you certainly need a facial cleanser. I usually do the following steps and it works well with me:-

1- Rub face with cold water.

    2- use a facial cleanser ( I use Neutrogena).

    3- I use Neutrogena's exfoliating cleanser (3 times a week).

5- Apply Toner followed by Moisturizer.(I usually use Clarins).
Make-Up remover is best for the more stubborn make=up (eyeliner, mascara, lipstick). However, a good gentle cleanser appropriate for your skin should always be used afterwards to clean the residue, oils, dead skin cells et al.
yes you need to before cleansing. read tips on skincare and more to help you on this site
I think it is better to use makeup remover before cleansing with cleanser. Otherwise if you could not remove makeup completely, acne and pore blockages may occur.
I suggest you do exactly what you are doing now but use a makeup remover with less alcohol base and a chemical free cleanser.its less harsh on your skin
better if you use face cleanser. In fact, when i used to be in theatre, i used pond's cold cream... and then face cleanser, and then toner. Redundancy is always good to make your face looking fresh all the time. mmmuah!
Use Maybellin's express finish make up romover for face and eyes.its 100% oil free and does not give a burning sensation at all.I 've been using it for 2 yrs alomost and its gr8.it just costs Rs.69.

And yes first you shud remove your make up witha make up remover, then you shud wash you r face with water and apply a good toner.

  • Geting pimples every day Should I use make up remover?

    Hello!

I have been noticing i have been geting pimples every day. Like i see new one pop up in morning.. for atleast past 3 or 4 days.. I usually put foundation little bit under eyes and eye liner..-- To clear my face in morning I just started using Acne wash by nutrogena few days ago and den I put Nivea creme onf ace. and den at night I wash my face with water.

I first thought it could be my nivea creme.. So i didnt apply that yesterday. But even today I got one more pimple.. Do you think its because of not using make up remover? Is it that important to use make up remover or some cleaner to not get pimples? I never really used make up remover before... Or you think washing your face with water should be good enough?

Your answers will be appreciated.Geting pimples every day Should I use make up remover?
I would recommend using make-up remover because it guarantees your face will be free of make-up and will gently remove it. The smallest amount of make-up left on your face may catalyze pimples. Chances are that by just washing your face off at night with water, oils are still settling on your face.

Another recommendation I have is to use wet wipes. They're simple, quick, and convenient. Try the brand Cottonelle. They'll easily remove make-up and will wash your face well. I use a wipe or two every night before bed and my face is clear. Strangely enough, they've cleaned my face better than any face soap/product I've used.

Good luck!Geting pimples every day Should I use make up remover?
ok wash ur face twice a day.

use the proper one... if ur face is oily then get the one for oily skins...

after washing, apply toner with cotton around your face... let it settle...

then apply moisturizer. if ur skin is oily type, apply less and vice versa.

it's good to use make-up remover but dont forget to cleanse your face after.

also, use pimple cream or tea tree oil...
Well, for a start hold off on your make up for a while. Wash your face like all the time. After lunch, when you wake up, when you go to sleep. The pimples will clear up soon but after you see clearer skin don't immediately put on a ton of makeup again, slowly go back into your makeup routine. If the pimples come back up again, start over again. Just go slower into the makeup next time. You can do this all the time just make sure to always wash your face with soap and water. Then you can use whatever you use for acne. Do this because the acne remover is really strong and can cause it if your skin is too dirty to begin with.

    Good Luck! =D
Try to avoid eating oily foods. Eat steam vegetables
You should totally take your make up off! It helps. But, sometimes, nothing really helps pimples, and you just kinda have to wait. Most people do go threw a acne stage. And you are probably. I would keep washing my face with acne face wash in the morning and at night, it may seem like a lot of work, but if it helps it will be worth it!
    umm....

usually when u don't get all the make up off u get a pimple or two

    happened to me one time

when i forgot to wash the make up off after the concert

soo.... i suggest u do use make up remover
try lime juice fresh buy at store 8or10 thanuse oneonpempletry smalla mounts leave on for20 min wash with cold water dry try 3 time a day
Use a facial steamer, it works really well, set it on hot for 15 min, then cold. I tried it the other day, and now my face is back to normal. If you do hot, it hurts a bit because the steam is hot, but its actually opening up your blocked pores, and then cold makes your face fell good. If it doesn't work the first time, do it a couple more times. You notice how your face feels really greasy afterwards, that's the stuff in your blocked pores. Pat your face dry with a clean towel, if you scrub, it irritates your face.

    Good luck!
You should wash your face at night and that should get rid of makeup. You might need to wash twice. I have acne also and this is what I do. (I have combo/oily skin)

Aloe vera gel mixed with 2 drops of tea tree essential oil works really well and has been shown in studies to improve acne. Doing scrubs is not good for acne at all because it irritates acne so I use warm oatmeal with a little bit of honey to exfoliate which is more gently. A french ';green'; clay mask works very well also when used 2 or 3x a week. It removes impurities from deep within and your acne may get worse before it gets better when using it. You should try an organic cleanser. (You can get them at a health food store.) I use Aubrey Organics cleanser for combo/oily skin. I also use a herbal astringent recipe from ';The herbal body book'; by Stephanie Tourles which you can get cheap on half.com. Works really good and is so soothing. Organic green tea (which you can get at giant eagle) is also a great toner/during the day splash, keeps the oil away and is really good for your skin. I also use a oil free moisturizer at night on my face I apply it on my face, neck and chest. Taking vitamins A, E, D, C, B5 (shown is studies to improve acne) vitamin %26amp; Zinc. Also eat healthy lean meats, fresh fruits and vegetables. Boxed foods and fast food will make it so much worse!

If you don't have my skin type that's ok because this will not dry out your skin it will nourish and bring balance.

    Hope this helps!!!
aw this use to happen to me, well i wash my face ever night, with warm water, but i kind of have to use like cold cream of some sort of makeup remover or all my makeup when i finish washing my face with just the warm water is all over my face. ha ha so i would start using some sort of makeup remover, and then i just use a breakout prevention face wash and once a week i use this mask thing i have. So yeah, my face is nice and clear now i don't know if this helped but that's what i do!%26lt;3

How long until I get my sight back after I use make up remover?

Just wondering. I've got plans tonight and I want to have my sight back by then. How long until I get my sight back after I use make up remover?
1st off if you dont have sight I dont know how the hell you posted the question, but lets pretend...

I dont expect you to be able to read this, so who ever is reading this for the blind girl tell ask her : What are you doing! Drinking it? You shouldnt lose your sight, and if you have it will never come back. How long until I get my sight back after I use make up remover?
Your sight isn't too badly impaired since you were able to use your pc and type this question. If it bothers you, flush your eyes with cool running water over a sink or in the shower for at least 5 minutes. Check the warning labels on the make-up remover for instructions on how to handle eye irritation. If your vision has been mildly impaired for a while, you may consider checking into a clinic or ER. Best of luck.
you shouldnt use makeup remover for the eyes unless it is specially formulated for hte eyes. rinse it out with water immediately and ify our vision is still impaired bring the bottle with you to the doctor.

eye makeup remover is gentle enough to flush into your eyes by accident. makeup remover is not.
woooh lol. Do u seriously go like blind after you use ur eye make up remover lol. I think ther might be sumthin wrong with ur eyes or the remover. I use Garnier fructis eye make up remover and it really works. Dosnt make me go blind or anytin.
Why would you loose your sight because of makeup remover?

    BEWARE OF THE BLINDING MAKEUP!
Did you put it in your eyes?

You shouldn't lose your sight because of remover.

You could have some other serious problem.
    Seek medical attention immediately.

    Hope I Helped!!=]

Use a cream fasical wash and it should be fine.

mary kay has a really good makeup remover I havent found any better yet!
Whichever suits you most. Okay, there are things like Simple but in the long-run Simple has been proven to be like putting oven cleaner on your skin. Not good.

I suggest dermalogica so much, yes, it's more expensive than your average stuff but works so well and you can get it to suit your skin type. Or anything available from your local beauty salon.
